Privacy notice
What we collect when you send an enquiry or use the coverage map, and what we do with it.
Who we are
G. Rutherford Outdoor Advertising is a Zambian outdoor advertising company, based at No. 13 Dag Hammarskjoeld Drive, Itawa, Ndola, Zambia. We run this website.
What we collect
When you send a quote request we collect the details you type into the form: your name, company (if you give one), phone number, email address (if you give one), what you need, the town you are interested in, and your message. If you picked a spot on the coverage map, we also keep the map position you chose. We record the time you agreed to be contacted.
Like most websites, our server keeps technical records of requests, such as your IP address, the page you asked for and the time. We use them to keep the site running and to deal with abuse.
What we use it for
We use your details to answer your request and to quote for the work you ask about. We do not use them for anything else, and we do not sell them.
The coverage map
The simple map of Zambia is drawn by this website and does not contact anyone else. Distances are worked out in your browser and on our server from the map position you choose.
If you switch to the Google map, your browser loads Google Maps from Google. Google receives your IP address and the address of this page, and may set its own cookies. Google's own privacy policy and terms then apply. We do not receive any information about you from Google.
Your choice of map view is remembered in your own browser. It is not sent to us.
Cookies
We use a session cookie and a security token cookie so that the quote form works and is protected against forgery. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Who sees your details
Our staff who deal with enquiries. If we email enquiries to our team, the email provider we use carries them. We do not share your details with other companies unless the law requires it.
How long we keep them
We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of what we quoted. After that we delete it.
